
Hudson is from Salem, Virginia, and has been playing piano for over 17 years. He is studying piano performance at Radford University under the direction of Dr. Matthew Cataldi, where he is getting experience in collaboration, piano ensembles, composing, improvising, recording, and more.
As a member of the piano studio at Radford University, Hudson has had the honor of playing in masterclasses given by Dr. Daniel Lin, Gloria Campaner, Dr. Dino Mulic, Dr. Evan Mitchell, Dr. Ryan Fogg, and Dr. Derek Parsons. Hudson auditioned for and was accepted into the Emerald Coast Virtual Institute 2020 with masterclasses given by Virginia Weckstrom and Jeffrey Cohen.
He has multiple years of church music experience, and has taken private organ lessons from David Hairston, II., as well as David Enlow. Hudson is the Organist, Pianist, and Director of Music at Northview United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Virginia, where he selects music, leads weekly choir rehearsals, leads the children and handbell choirs, accompanies the choir, and plays organ. He has experience playing for weddings, playing in bands, in chamber groups, and accompanying a wide variety of other instruments and voices.
Hudson has also participated in the Young Artist Conducting Apprentice for Opera Roanoke in 2021, where he developed his vocal pedagogy and conducting skills, and was featured as a guest conductor on Opera Roanoke's 2021 summer concert. He also performed as a Student Conductor for the RU Wind Symphony's Fall 2021 concert.
