PROJECTS
Bridging Musical Worlds:
Arranging Chopin's Preludes for Percussion
Over the past year, Hudson has been working on a research project at Radford University under the Presidential Highlander Research Rookies program, where he has been studying various Chopin Preludes and arranging those preludes for solo marimba. He has recordings for all the Chopin Preludes he has studied so far as well as his own arrangements of them uploaded to his YouTube Channel. These works have been published under Heartland Marimba Publications, and will be available for purchase online and at the Percussive Arts Society International Conference in 2022.

Conducting with Opera Roanoke
This past summer, Hudson has had the opportunity to make his conducting premier as Opera Roanoke's first conducting apprentice on their July 4th concert this year. He continues to help lead rehearsals, sectionals, take conducting lessons, and has been able to participate in vocal and conducting masterclasses by musicians Mollye Otis and Larry Wyatt.
